James enjoyed a 30+ year career of leadership in the food and beverage industry in BC, including the last 10 years as CEO of BC Food & Beverage.

As CEO, James is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the Association, and has been successful in growing its reach, membership, advocacy and impact. His career experience has included senior positions at a range of businesses such as Diageo, Yves Veggie Cuisine, BC Hot House, and Maple Leaf Foods as well as several years working as a consultant and advisor to small to mid sized businesses in the industry.

Over the past 2 years James has been named as one of BC’s most influential business leaders by Business in Vancouver magazine.
