Consultant
Rebecca Richards holds a BA in Economics and Sociology, and a MA in Political Studies. She has spent the last 6 years working in economic development in Trail, BC. During this time, Rebecca began the work that has led to the creation of Grow and Connect, a supply chain modelling software for the food sector. She is currently an independent consultant and will continue to be involved with the development of Grow and Connect.
Building on last year’s discussion at FABx23 about distribution challenges, this session will provide an update on our ongoing supply chain modelling project. We’ll share the latest software developments designed to address specific distribution needs in the region. Your feedback is key—audience input on our progress so far will help shape future improvements. This is your chance to let us know how we can make these tools more effective for you!
This session will present the latest work on tackling food sector distribution challenges in rural BC. We will cover 3 separate projects that are each contributing to addressing unique food sector problems such as aggregation, market reach, and logistics management. Demonstrations of two software tools will be included as part of the presentation. Presented by: CKFPC, Kamloops FPC, Boundary Community Ventures and TruGIS.
