HOTEL + BILLETING
LOCATIONS
Most of the Expo agenda will take place at The Creston and District Community Complex, located at 312 19 Ave N, Creston.
On Saturday, some of the community food group focused sessions will take place just across the parking lot at Rotocrest Hall, 230 19 Ave N, Creston.
For our farm-to-table dinner on Saturday night, we’ve arranged a very special setting: a pop-up greenhouse dinner (yes, inside the greenhouse!) at the Lower Kootenay Band’s Morris Flowers Garden Centre, located at 1403 Erickson Rd, Creston.
We will also have an offsite food packaging art exhibition at the Tilted Brick Gallery located at116 Northwest Blvd, Creston.
While we’ll provide a few shuttle buses to and from the gallery on Friday and Saturday, the walking gallery is open to everyone at any time! Please plan to visit and cast your vote for your favourite piece of food-packaging art.
TOURS + SHUTTLES
We are thrilled to offer some FABulous tours of Creston’s finest food establishments as part of the FABx agenda.
We will have an exclusive chef’s tour of the Lower Kootenay Band Cattle operation, a tour of Honey Bee Zen’s honey house to learn about the fascinating world of honey production, and a tour of the Creston Food Hub. And we might just have one more surprise up our sleeves, specially designed to benefit our famers. Stay tuned for that exciting announcement!
We will be providing shuttle buses to and from the tour sites, as well as transportation to the Ramada Hotel in the morning and evening of both event days.
MEALS
With your Full Event Admission or Exhibitor Admission you will have a delicious assortment of Basin Food breakfast bites served both Friday and Saturday.
Friday will offer a local seasonal lunch, some nibbles, and a local cash bar during the evening expo. After the event on Friday, we invite you to explore Creston’s incredible restaurants for your dinner.
Saturday will offer a variety of food trucks during the public market place, and each registered attendee and exhibitor will receive a $10 voucher towards lunch from the food truck of their choice. Saturday’s farm-to-table greenhouse dinner is ticketed, and you can opt in or out with your event registration. The exhibitor ticket already includes dinner for one, and for those looking to bring along a non-event dinner guest, we do offer dinner-only tickets. But get them soon as space is limited, and the dinner will sell out!
