Candice Cullum

Wild Crafter / Wild Harvester

Candice Cullum is a fungi-focused wild crafter and harvester based in Edgewood, BC, and Kneehill County, Alberta. With over a decade of experience as the Red Deer regional coordinator for the Alberta Mycological Society, she’s led countless public forays and honed her skills alongside a dedicated community of nature enthusiasts and amateur mycologists.

Now, with a second home base in Edgewood, she shares her love of mushrooms across both western provinces, traveling to remote fungus festivals and communities throughout BC. When the mushroom season ends, she turns her attention to another of nature’s gifts—willow. Teaching willow weaving—from decorative art to practical basketry—allows her to stay connected to nature even in the colder months.

Candice’s mission is to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to step outside, play, and forge their own connection to the natural world—one mushroom (or basket) at a time.
