Biography

Greg is a business management and marketing professional specializing in marketing, business development, and workshops for Farm Food Drink, business and organizations. Greg has over 30 years of experience in marketing and sales operations and the teaching of these same processes. He and his team have developed and managed business planning projects, marketing programs, and advertising campaigns with many large and small business enterprises and associations. However, his focus is on growing local and regional food producers and farm businesses throughout B.C.

Growing Community Food - Food Hubs, Food Business and Community Food Organizations 

A discussion between community food organizations, food hub leaders and producers/growers that (hope to) supply or partner with them.

Greg McLaren will start the session with a brief overview of food hubs, food businesses and their relationship within the value chain and community food systems. Greg will also share details on Food Hub initiatives from around the province. Following this, participants will have a facilitated and open discussion on their learnings and what opportunities and barriers they face in improving our community food systems. The intention of the session is to create connections and opportunities of collaboration and growth.
